Fits Mazda Sky-Active FW6A-EL, GW6A-EL
ATF Transmission Pressure Switch Manifolds are multiple switch assemblies made up of several pressure switches. Fluid pressure is directed to the switches depending on the position of the gear selector and the manual valve. The fluid pressure determines the digital logic at the electrical pins on the PSM which is used by the vehicle's Power Control Module or Transmission Control Module to determine what gear range the transmission is operating in.
If a Mazda with the “Sky Active” FW6A-EL transmission has its Check Engine and A/T Warning lights illuminated, with the following trouble codes stored in TCM memory you may need a new Pressure Switch.
- P0842 - “Oil Pressure Switch #1 Stuck On.” (Pressure Switch B)
- P0847 - “Oil Pressure Switch #2 Stuck On.” (Pressure Switch A)
- P0872 - “Oil Pressure Switch #3 Stuck On.” (Pressure Switch A)
- P0877 - “Oil Pressure Switch #4 Stuck On.” (Pressure Switch B)
Note: Use caution when removing Oil Pressure Switch Manifold “A” to avoid damaging the ATF temperature sensor.
