The Sonnax thrust bearing is a direct replacement for the following Ford 4R44E, 5R44E, 4R55E and 5R55E locations:

  • Center support (’97-later)
  • Direct drum to Forward drum (’97-later)
  • Rear planet to hub (’95-later)
This bearing also can be used in GM Powerglide applications to replace a clutch drum thrust washer, although this requires either the pump body or drum to be modified to accept the bearing.
